You have the option to create a dropdown with as many options as necessary. 

 

 

Click the Save button once complete.

 

To see your new custom field, add an Opportunity to a contact. There are two ways to add an Opportunity. The first one is via the Add Opportunity button on the Pipeline page. To access it:

 


You can also add an Opportunity from a contact record's More button as explained below.

Click on Contacts in the left sidebar menu.

 

 

Click the "More" button and select "Add Opportunity."

 

 

Scroll down the Create an Opportunity window, and you will see your Custom Field.
