Integrating ActiveCampaign with BIGContacts allows you to run powerful, automated email marketing campaigns directly from your BIGContacts account. By connecting your ActiveCampaign account, you can streamline contact management, sync subscriber data, and manage your email campaigns without switching platforms.

Use Case: A sales team uses BIGContacts to manage leads and ActiveCampaign to run automated email sequences. By integrating the two, they can automatically sync new leads from BIGContacts into ActiveCampaign. When a lead opens or clicks an email, the team can instantly see engagement details inside the BIGContacts contact record. This helps them reach out at the right moment and significantly improves follow-up conversions.
Go to Marketing in the left-hand menu.
Click Campaigns.
Select Email Marketing from the top tabs.
Click Link Account.

Once you click Link Account, a page will appear prompting you to enter:
API URL
API Key

Enter both values exactly as they appear in your ActiveCampaign account, then click Link Account to complete the connection.
To find your API URL and API Key:
Log in to your ActiveCampaign dashboard.
Click the Settings icon (top-right).
Select Developer from the left menu.
Under API Access, copy your URL and Key.

Paste these values into the fields inside BigContacts.
View Your Connected Campaigns
After the account is linked, the Email Marketing screen will display:
Your existing ActiveCampaign campaigns
Campaign names
Last updated timestamps
Editing options
This confirms that the integration is active and your data is now synced.

Once ActiveCampaign is connected, you can:
Create and edit email marketing campaigns inside BigContacts
View campaign performance and engagement activities
Sync contacts automatically between both platforms
Trigger automated workflows based on contact behavior
