If you use HubSpot for marketing or sales workflows and manage your contacts in BigContacts, you can automate your processes by connecting the two platforms using Zapier.
With this integration, you can set up one-way or two-way syncs to keep contacts updated, trigger workflows, and reduce manual data entry—without relying on legacy tools like PieSync.
A BigContacts account
A HubSpot account
A Zapier account (free or paid)
Note: You’ll be creating one or more “Zaps” to send data between the two systems. Zapier works on a trigger + action model.
Here’s what users typically automate between HubSpot and BigContacts:
Add new HubSpot contacts to BigContacts automatically
Push new BigContacts contacts into HubSpot lists or workflows
Update contact information across both platforms
Trigger marketing emails in HubSpot when a contact is added to BigContacts
Go to Zapier and sign in.
Click the + Create Zap button.
Start with the system that will “send” the contact.
For example:
App: HubSpot
Trigger: New Contact (or Contact Property Changed)
Connect your HubSpot account when prompted.
Set up what should happen in the other system.
For example:
App: BigContacts
Action: Create or Update Contact
Connect your BigContacts account if you haven’t already.
Match key fields like:
First name
Last name
Phone
Tags (if used)
Zapier will pull sample data so you can test your mapping before going live.
Once your test looks good, click Publish Zap to begin syncing.
Duplicates: Zapier does not automatically deduplicate contacts. Use filters or conditions where necessary.
Field Limits: Make sure custom fields in both apps are compatible (e.g., text, dropdowns).
Real-Time Sync: Zapier sync frequency depends on your plan (every 1 to 15 minutes).
One-way by default: Zapier does not support true two-way sync out of the box. For bidirectional sync, you'll need to create two Zaps (one in each direction).
