Request a Full Data Backup
BigContacts takes data security seriously. That’s why we perform a full system-wide backup every night in our primary data center. These automated backups are designed to protect all customer data and ensure it can be restored if needed.
However, if you require an individual backup of your account data, we can provide one upon request.
What You’ll Receive
A full backup includes your account data compiled into multiple XML files—one for each table in the database. These files contain:

Contact records

Activity and history logs
-
Custom fields
-
Associated IDs to preserve record relationships
Although these XML files can be opened in spreadsheet tools like Excel, the export is designed for technical use—such as importing into a new CRM or rebuilding records via development work. It is not meant for day-to-day spreadsheet use.
Important Notes

Individual data exports are time-intensive to compile and deliver.

Due to the resources required, a one-time fee, typically $100, applies. The final fee is determined on a case-by-case basis.

The credit card on file will be charged only after you approve the request.

Is a Full Backup Right for You?
Most BigContacts users don’t need a full data backup in their day-to-day work. That’s because we automatically back up the entire system every night at our main data center to keep your data safe — no action needed on your part.
But if you’re:

Migrating to another CRM,

Working with a developer to reformat your data, or

Just want an offline copy of your records,
…then, requesting a full backup might make sense.
Here’s what to know before you decide:

A full backup is not just a simple spreadsheet export. It includes your complete database saved in XML format (one XML per table), maintaining the original structure and IDs.

This format is designed for technical use, such as importing into another CRM, not for day-to-day spreadsheet work.

Because compiling and transferring this backup takes time, there’s a one-time fee of $100. Larger accounts may require a custom quote.
