Close (or Delete) a Task

You can close a task from one of two places in the system. You can do it directly in the contact record or from your "Task List".

Close a Task from the Contact record

  1.  In the left-hand navigation menu, you will click on the tab labeled "Contacts".
  2. On the right-hand side of the screen, you will see your contact history folders. In his list of folders, you will see a folder labeled "Pending Tasks". It's in here that you will see all of the pending tasks for this particular contact.
  3. Hover your mouse over the icon that looks like a checkmark inside a circle and you will see that you can click on this to complete/close the task.

Close a Task from your Task List

  1. In the left-hand navigation menu, you will click on the tab labeled "Task List"
  2. Closing multiple tasks at one time on the screen you will see a list of your tasks. You have the option of closing (or even deleting) multiple tasks by clicking on the box to the left of each task.  After you have chosen the tasks that you wish to close (orderly) you will see buttons in the top right-hand corner to complete your action.

  3. "Closing one task at a time" this is the most common application as it is typically how one works through their tasks (one at a time). To the left of each task you will see an icon with a check-mark inside the circle. If you hover over this icon you will see the text "Complete task". By simply clicking on this icon you can close the task.

Special Notes:

  • You will notice that for each task the name of the contact record is hyperlinked.
    • You can "left click" with your mouse to go directly to that contact record and your details and make updates as needed.
    • If you would like to open the contact record without leaving your task list you can instead "right-click" with your mouse and open the contact record in a new tab or a new window. After you have finished making your changes/updates you can simply close the new tab or window and you will still be on the "My Tasks & Todos" folder
