How to Capture Incoming Emails from Any Inbox in BIGContacts (Custom Email)

BIGContacts' Custom Email feature automatically captures incoming emails and links them to the appropriate contact records. This ensures all conversations are stored in one place for easy access. The setup process requires a one-time configuration per user, after which emails will be logged automatically.

Steps to Set Up Custom Email Capture

 

 

1)  Locate your "Custom Email" address on BigContacts

 

Each user on your team will have their own unique "Custom Email" address. Below are the steps to get your BigContacts Custom Email address.

 

  1. Click on the "Admin" Tab in your system.
     
  2. Under the "Manage Users" section, you will select the "Add/Edit users" link.

  3. Here, you will see a row with your name and a link labeled "Request Custom Email."

     

  4. When you click this link, it will create a unique Custom Email address just for you!

 

2)  Forward a copy of incoming emails to the "Custom Email."

 

 

 

Now that you have your Custom Email address set up email forwarding in your email provider’s settings.

 

  1. Log into the account where you have your email inbox. (This would be your email provider, such as Gmail or Hotmail.)
  2. You'll find the "settings" link in your email account. Here, you should find the section titled "Incoming email."
  3. Finally, you will locate the field where you can enter your custom email address so that you would like to forward a COPY of your incoming emails, too.
