How to Add an Opportunity in BIGContacts

 

Tracking potential sales opportunities helps you manage your pipeline effectively and close deals faster. In BIGContacts, you can create opportunities directly from a contact record, ensuring every interaction is documented and aligned with your sales process.

When Should You Add an Opportunity?

 

  • When a potential customer expresses interest in your product or service.

  • When an existing client is considering an upgrade or additional purchase.

  • When you need to track multiple deals across different stages of your pipeline.

 

 

Steps to Add an Opportunity

 

  • From the contact record, click "More" and select "Add Opportunity".

 

 

  • A popup window will appear, and you are ready to create your sales opportunity.

 

NOTE: Ensure that only numbers are entered in numeric fields. Avoid adding extra characters such as dollar signs ($), commas (,), or any other symbols.

 

  • You can add multiple products to the opportunity as you want to create a total opportunity. After entering the details for each product, click on "Add Product" to include it in the total opportunity.
  • After you have finished, click "Create" to save the sales opportunity.

 

 

Special Notes:

 

Sales Stage

 

Before adding opportunities, set up your sales stages:

 

  • Navigate to Admin -> Customize Pipeline under the "Manage Modules" section.
  • Click on "Stages" in the menu bar and select the "Add New Sales Stage" option.
  • Input all the required details for the specific sales stage you want to use in your pipeline. 

 

 

  • Once configured, it will appear in the dropdown menu within the Stage field. Select the appropriate stage when creating a new opportunity.

 

Commissions

 

If commissions are part of your sales process, customize them in the Sales Module:

 

  • Navigate to Admin > Customize Pipeline under the Manage Modules section.
  • Click on "Pipelines" from the menu bar and configure the commission settings as needed.

 

 

  • Once configured, the commission settings will be applied to your sales opportunities.
