To Customize Your Contact Dashboard in BIGContacts

Step 1: Log in and Access Your Contacts

 

Sign in to BIGContacts and click Contacts in the side menu to open your contact list.

 

Step 2: Choose Your Preferred View

 

You can switch between two views:

  • List View – Displays multiple contacts in a structured format for easy scanning, sorting, and filtering.
  • Individual View – Access detailed information about a specific contact, including business, personal, and general details.

To switch views, click the view icon at the top of the contact list.

 

Step 3: Use Advanced Contact Filtering in List View

 

Filter contacts based on specific details to focus on relevant information.

 

How to Apply Filters:

  1. Click the filter icon in the contact list.
  2. Select the columns you want to display:
    • Work Email
    • Company Name
    • Contact Type
    • Assigned To
    • Creation Date
    • Phone
    • Sales Stage
    • Contact Tags
    • Last Touch Activity
  3. Click Apply to update the list view.

 

Step 4: Explore and Customize Contact Activities

 

In Individual View, the Contact Activity Panel includes:

  • Pending Tasks – View and manage tasks for a contact
  • Contact History – Track past interactions
  • Upcoming Meetings – See scheduled meetings
  • Opportunities – Monitor business opportunities
  • Notes – Add and access notes
  • QuickBooks Transactions – View financial transactions
  • Files and Photos – Store important documents and images
  • Marketing Campaigns – Track marketing-related activities
  • Scheduled Emails – Manage and view emails expected to be sent to the contact

 

To Customize Activities:

  • Click the gear icon next to any section.
  • Choose to show, minimize, or hide the activity based on your needs.

 

Step 5: Use the Timeline View

  • Click the Timeline tab to see a chronological history of all interactions.
  • This helps track past updates, meetings, and communications in one place.

 

 

Contact Information Navigation

 

Fields in the Personal Info, General Info, and Custom Fields sections are interactive, allowing for seamless navigation and quicker access to relevant contact details.

 

 

How It Works:

  • Clickable Fields: Clicking on any field (such as Creation Date, Assigned To, or Company Name) opens a popup with filtered contact results.
  • Popup Search Window: The popup allows you to view and manage search results efficiently.
  • Download & Export Options: You can export the filtered contacts as Excel, PDF, or CSV.
  • Works with Custom Fields: This functionality also applies to all your custom fields.

 

 

Example Use Case:

  • Clicking on Creation Date shows all contacts created on that date.
  • Clicking on Assigned To (Mark Johnson) lists all contacts assigned to Mark Johnson.
  • Clicking on Company (BigContacts) filters contacts associated with that company.

 

This feature allows quicker access to related contacts, making contact management more efficient and streamlined.
