Outlook Synchronization powered by Implicit Sync - How to Send Outlook Emails into BigContacts
If you're working in Outlook and need to save a specific email to BigContacts, the Outlook Sync Plugin makes it easy. Instead of forwarding messages or setting up automatic capture, you can upload important emails—like quotes, client replies, or decision threads—into the contact’s history.
It’s a simple way to keep your CRM organized without saving everything by default.
Uploading an Email from Outlook to BigContacts
1. Right-click the email you want to upload
In your Outlook inbox, right-click on the email you want to store in BigContacts and select Upload Email from the menu.
2. Link the email to a contact
In the window that opens:
-
Choose the Type of Contact—either Business or Individual
-
Then, use the Contact Name field to begin typing the name of the person or business you want to link the email to
- The dropdown will autofill as you type
Note: The list only displays the first 100 contacts. If you don’t see the one you’re looking for right away, just type the name and it will appear.
3. Click “Send” to complete the upload
Once the contact is selected, click the Send button. The email will be stored under that contact’s History tab in BigContacts.
That’s it — your email is now saved to the contact’s history in BigContacts.
Manual upload is a great option when:
-
You only want to save a few key emails, not everything
-
You haven’t set up automatic email capture yet
-
You prefer reviewing emails before adding them to the CRM
If you'd rather have emails sync automatically, you can set that up using our Custom Email Capture feature.
